What this blog is about
Welcome to "Smoke in her Face," a blog about pretty much what the title says and quite possibly representing the narrowest niche or fetish in the world. In fact, I really suspect I may be the only person interested in this subject in existence. I'm putting this blog up so there's at least one thing about it in Google and Bing. Then, if there actually is someone else out there maybe this site will draw us together so we can discuss this topic and pool our resources. I actually did this once with another small, fringe interest and many people eventually came and contributed. So I have hope!
So this site is... a place to collect and discuss photos, videos, art, advertising, and writing (including fan-fiction) having to do with smoke being blown, drifting, floating, wafting, being sprayed etc. into women's faces. Does that sound odd to you? It does to me, slightly, and I'm the person who enjoys the subject so much that he's making a website about it. So let me talk a little more about it so you can see where I'm coming from.
But that is only one end of a wide spectrum (although the spectrum of a very small fetish). There was an era not too long ago where most women liked the aroma of a man's pipe, considering it a popular masculine trait. Since many men smoked pipes, it was commonplace for pipesmoke to drift across women's faces, especially in public. And unless you smoked a particularly rank tobacco, it was not considered offensive. Often, quite the opposite.
Wives and girlfriends (and in the 1960s, Playboy bunnies and stewardesses!) frequently took the opportunity to fill and light their men's pipes as well. (As a side note this was also the period when men lit women's cigarettes for them. Why, in the 1930's and 40's there was even -- gasp! -- same sex smoking paraphernalia lighting! But that is outside the subject of this blog.) That wide spectrum connected by the common thread of "smoke in a woman's face" is what I've started this blog for.
Disclaimer: This site does in no way promote the smoking of tobacco or other dangerous products. If you do smoke, fine, but you didn't get it from me.
I'd like to emphasize that this is not just a "guy subject;" I would love to have women come here and contribute.
Finally, in case you're wondering, I may write a bit more on the philosophical ramifications of smoke in the faces of women, but the bulk of this blog will be pictures, videos, art, and fan fiction. If it turns out there actually are others who want to talk about our subject and simply commenting isn't enough, then perhaps we can start a full fledged forum.

Smoke?
First, the image of smoke in a woman's face is not necessarily misogynistic although a certain portion of it no doubt is. For instance, the fairly well known image to the left is considered by many as the very epitome of the desire by men to degrade women, or at least assert male dominance. There is certainly something to this, but let's be honest: dominance by male over female and female over male is something human beings worldwide enjoy in many contexts -- including sexual ones. For me anyway smoke in a woman's face is far more of a fetish or niche than a statement on male subjection of females. (At some point I'll post a few examples of the opposite of this one). His pipesmoke may be drifting across her face right now! |

A Few Disclaimers
I'm focusing on pipes here simply because they are my personal favorites, but cigars and even those low class cigarettes will be included here too. And there are other forms of smoke in the female face (such as thick fog, incense, smoke from burning leaves, knock out gas in films etc.) that will be featured here too.Disclaimer: This site does in no way promote the smoking of tobacco or other dangerous products.
